Sometimes the authorisation you grant us on you social media profile fails, which means we can't moderate on your behalf. Here's how to reauthorise Arwen
When you create your Arwen account, you authorise Arwen to moderate comments on your behalf. This authorisation is managed by an OAuth2 token, the industry standard for secure and safe authorization, and is handled by each social network. That way you don't have to share your passwords with us and things are kept nice and secure.
However these tokens sometimes fail, expire or are cancelled, due to a number of things, depending on each network - for example:
- You change your password
- You change permissions in your team or in your settings
- The token has an automatic expiry date
- The network makes a security system change that revokes the token
If this happens for you, it's very simple to resolve. Here's how:
1. Login to app.arwen.ai
2. Make sure you're currently logged into the profile on the social network you want to reauthorise
3. Click the "Add social profile" drop down menu in the top right
4. Select the network you want to reauthorise
5. Follow the on-screen steps to re-authorise Arwen
6. Once done, you'll be returned to Arwen and the re-authorisation process is complete
Arwen should start collecting and moderating content for you again.
