This article sets out the steps to connect Arwen to TikTok, so that Arwen can automatically collect, classify and manage toxic and unwanted content.
Arwen uses TikAPI to collect comments from TikTok profiles in real time. Connecting to TikAPI requires a 1-2-1, 15 minute meeting.
We only use TikAPI to protect you from hate and unwanted content. We will never post to your account.
Step 1 - Book your TikTok Connection call
- Use this link to book a 15-minute TikTok Connection call with one of the Arwen team - book a TikTok Connection call.
- You will receive an invitation by email, which will include a Google Meet link.
- Please arrive at the call with the TikTok app on your smartphone, logged in to the profile you want to connect to Arwen.
Step 2 - Connecting TikTok to Arwen during the call
- Join the call using the Google Meet link in the calendar invite.
- An Arwen adviser will talk you through the following:
- Open the TikTok app on your smartphone and click on "profile" in the bottom right
- Use the pull down menu at the top to switch to the Account you want to connect to Arwen. If not already logged into that Account, please log in now
- Click the menu icon, in the top right of the screen. A set of options should appear
- Click "My QR code"
- Click the scan icon, in the top right of the screen. This will activate the apps' QR code scanner
- Point the camera at the QR code displayed on the Arwen Adviser's screen
- The QR code will automatically be captured and a token generated and sent to Arwen
- Your Arwen Advisor will then complete the connection process and close the call
Your TikTok profile is now connected to Arwen.
